How to Choose Extraction Thimbles Size and Membrane?

With a variety of sizes available to most extractors, the reason why we should select the thimble sizes very carefully is they must fit the extractor perfectly. The internal diameter and overall length of the extraction thimble are shown in different sizes. And the thickness of the wall should be considered when we calculate the external diameters.
1-2 mm clearance allowed, the thimble should always move through the narrower end of the upper extractor socket. The thimble should be 5-10 mm above the level of the top of the siphon tube at the same time.
The extraction thimbles media selection we have here are the cellulose and the glass microfiber. The thimbles made of good cotton cellulose, with the smooth interior surface, and totally seamless, can fit the most of extraction devices. High purity glass microfiber thimbles are suitable for high temperature filtrating, even if the temperature is up to 550℃. it is also the better choice when the cellulose thimbles can not match the solvents.
