What is the Temperature Resistance of the Glass Fiber Extraction Thimbles

The main component of glass fiber is SiO2. The purpose of adding the alkali metal oxides Na2O, and K2O is to lower the melting point and viscosity of the glass. The alkali-free glass fiber introduces B2O3L instead of Na2O as a flux, thereby greatly improving the heat resistance of the glass fiber. When the glueless fiber extraction thimbles is made, no organic glue is added, so the glueless extraction thimbles has good heat resistance. This is very important for high-temperature gas filtration.
Because industrial dusty gases tend to be hot, they should be treated as high as possible. The alkali-free glass fiber can be used at a temperature of 500 °C – 700 °C under no load. However, if the temperature exceeds the upper limit, its strength will also be greatly reduced. The glueless extraction thimbles were placed in a Mafu furnace at 600 °C for 1 hour and then taken out. The appearance did not change significantly, and the throwing kept a certain strength.
